Your journey for Hampta pass will begin from Manali from where you will be driven to Jobra in a car. Manali is located at a height of 6,700 ft, making it a good place to acclimatize before starting the trekking to Hampta pass. From Manali, it is 2 hour drive to Jobra.
Remember Jobra is the base for your trek and is nestled at an elevation of almost 9,800 ft, while the trek to Chika will take you to a height of 10,100ft.
Day 1 is about an easy trek along the banks of Rani Nallah through a mixed forest of birches, pine, and green maple. Walk through the meadow and you will reach Chika at the end of the massive meadow. Remember climbing the hill and descending to Chika is an easy route.
Night stay will be scheduled in the camp from where you can see the Rani river flowing. You might even find some horses grazing in the paddocks, giving you a perfect setting to click some Instagram-worthy pictures. Also, hot and delicious food will be served in the camp after which you can rest and get prepared for the next day.
